by the way....who are they?

Brent and Christine were the couple we worked with/under while on Cebu Island.   Christine Horlen Ralston
Brent was an MK--in Pakistan.  He went to the Philippines in 1983; then back to Portland to earn a masters at Western.  Then back to the Philippines in 1989.   In 1990 he went to  Cebu  where he met Christine in  1991.

Christine was an MK--in the Philippines!    They married in August of 1992.   They are proud parents of Hannah, now 14 year of age and she will head to Faith Academy in Manila for high school.....though they have a year's furlough back here in the States, soon, which will be split between Portland and  Arizona.

They are on staff with World Venture.   (WorldVenture is a mission network of passionate people connected in the common cause of seeing the Great Commission fulfilled.)  On the website for World Venture is a link for ways to help in rebuilding businesses in the Philippines.     Their ministry is done primarily, but not exclusively, through CBAP--Conservative Baptist Association of the Philippines--a registered business with offices in Manila.

They speak Cebuano fluently and have a heart for the people and serving them.   They have both worked tirelessly since the typhoon to check up on people on islands affected and to procure and get food/water/supplies to those in need.      Rebuilding of homes continues as does the effort to birth micro enterprises so the people have jobs and can provide for themselves.
