He developed strep throat which rapidly went into an infection throughout his blood stream. He was in a battle for his life in ICU for several days. We are most thankful for excellent care he received and that he is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation center in southern California until he gains enough strength to return to Portland. So many ways God has provided for his wife and family!
So our team realized that our trip goal was not going to be the same anymore.
We also felt that we should have someone take Nick's place.
We are happy to have Stan join our team; a man with short-term missionary experience and many skills. Stan had gone 3 years ago with a team to the Philippines, also.
